As Chairman and Managing Director, Achal Bakeri leads the management of critical organizational functions such as corporate strategy, international growth opportunities and people development. Mr. Bakeri is responsible for the overall strategy, execution and policy formation at Symphony. He provides overall direction to the Board and the management team in achieving aggressive corporate objectives.
Under his guidance and leadership, Symphony has established its position as the largest manufacturer of air coolers in the world. A leader with a design thinking approach, Mr. Bakeri has 30 years of experience in varied fields, including construction, exports, manufacturing and design development. He has evolved Symphony on conscience-driven business practices of manufacturing environment-friendly products. Today, the organization is world-class in every sense and conforms to the highest quality standards in innovation and design.
Qualification: Architect, Master of Business Administration (University of Southern California)
Nrupesh Shah
Executive Director, Corporate Affairs
Nrupesh Shah heads the company’s financial & commercial functions and is responsible for corporate affairs, strategy, finance, M.I.S., treasury etc. He also serves as a Member of the Share Transfer & Investor Grievance Committee and the Audit Committee.
Mr. Shah joined Symphony in 1993 as Finance Controller and became Executive Director in 2002. With over 28 years of experience in finance and accounts, Mr. Shah is a key architect of the company’s growth. He has been invited to speak at various public forums like CED, Rotary Club and other institutes. He also contributes articles to the journal published by the local chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce, Chartered Accountant (CA) and Company Secretary (CS)
Jonaki Bakeri
Non-Executive Director
She has an experience spanning 11 years in various business functions namely marketing, service, accounts, finance, legal and product development.
Qualification: Bachelor of Arts
Dipak Palkar
Independent Director
Dipak Palkar joined Symphony’s Board of the Directors as an Independent Non-Executive Director in December 2005. He also serves as Chairman of the company’s Audit Committee.
Mr. Palkar has over 36 years’ experience in HR, marketing, business promotion and international sales. He has extensive experience in the consumer durables and kitchen appliances segments.
Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce, Diploma in Taxation Laws & Practices, Diploma in Business Management
Satyen Kothari
Independent Director
He has a working experience of 20 years in the field of strategy and user experience with several leading global companies like Apple, First Data Corp., Frog Design in the Silicon Valley.
Qualification: Master of Engineering
Naishadh Parikh
Independent Director
He has rich experience of more than 31 years in performing various roles at a corporate level of diverse sectors and expertise in strategy formulation & implementation for new businesses and market entries.
